Moving between Chinese cities comes down to two choices — a high-speed train or a domestic flight — plus the last stretch from the airport or station to your hotel. Trains are the default for most routes: stations sit in the city, you book online with your passport, and the passport itself gets you through the gate. Flights make sense for the long hops where the train would take most of a day.
